Phasing not working on Linked Models

Hi everyone. I'm struggling with phasing in a linked model. I have a survey model which contains quite a lot of demolished elements. I have this linked into a separate model and none of the phase settings are working.

Having read up on the issue, I understand that all of the phase settings in both files need to match exactly (case sensitive etc...) so I've made sure that's the case. I've even cleared out all of the phase settings from one model and done a transfer project standards from the other one so I know they're exactly the same. And yet I'm still seeing all of the demolished items on my proposed drawings when I use the 'Show Complete' setting. The phasing works fine in each individual file, it just won't work when they link.

    Any ideas please?

    Thanks

How exactly did you "clear out" the phase settings in the model before using TPS? You may have accidentally unphased the elements in that model.

Or, what is your phase FILTER set in, in your models view?

And what is the phase MAPPING set to in type properties of the linked file?

And what do your Phase settings and overrides look like in your settings?

Sent from my Phablet. Please excuse typos... and bad ideas.

Look into the Type Properties of the Link, & make sure the Phase Mappings match. You can just go to a model view & in the PB, right click on the Link & choose to "select all instances - in model". With all that removing & transferring these settings may have bugged out?
If you're able to, then remove link & re-link it.

Check your phase filter naming, options, and numbers. I've found that these have to match exactly (otherwise views resort to "show all") but phase names don't have to match (I have linked new construction in one project to a specific phase name in another project)

Revit link and host vs. custom view

One of the issues I come across with linked models is that they are usually set up with "Host view" as the way they are linked in. Often I find that I need to bring linked models in as a "custom view" in the Revit Links portion of vis graphics, and modify the view representation of that linked model. It really depends on the revit model being linked in and if it is coming from outside your office or made from within (where standards should be more uniform).
May not be your answer but I found this was an answer for 2 projects of mine as of late.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Just after I posted this thread I thought I'd try deleting the link all together and re-importing it. I'd obviously tried reloading and the classic close it down and reopen it but hadn't tried deleting all together. Of course that fixed the issue and it now works perfectly

I had to go through all my view templates and redo the display settings for the link which was a bit of a pain in the A. Revit was obviously just having a dumb moment but it's all sorted now. Cheers all.

Didn't know about phase mapping. This solved the problem! Thanks!
