Okay, this goes along with my previous post and questions about Generic objects and in-place voids..........only now it is about in-place voids and Curtain Wall Panels. Here is a little ......I'm doing a VDC Shop dwg, Estimate and fabrication extraction model for a Project under construction in Raleigh, for a Custom Exterior Wall Fabrication co. The Main exterior is a Terra Cotta Tile mounted on custom Alum extruded brackets, etc. I decided for rapid modeling and control to use CW's, which has allowed really great manipulation capabilites (pretty obvious). And since the Tile Panels themselves are built from the Curtain Panel Template, it stands to reason (at least to me) that, again really being Mass objects, that once in a project since it is a CW, that Custom in-place voids could be used to 'punch' various holes in the CP's for Lights, Vents, Scuppers, etc at avarious points in the Facades. So the question again I ask is....Cannot one add such in-place objects? Or have I totally created a thought process in the wrong direction? See attached for small example.:banghead:
