    Roof Offset

Am I missing something basic here?

If I have a roof and want to test different roof assembly thicknesses, the roof moves up with additional thicknesses. Whereas I want the top layer to stay put.

    Thx

Speaking from a constructability standpoint, the bearing plane of a roof should be the underside. If the roof thickness increases, are you expecting all the supporting wall heights to get shorter?

In Revit terms, when the thickness is increased, a floor element grows down, and a roof element grows up.
