    Revit 2018 Activation

We're on "maintenance" for our licenses (i.e. the old "subscription", not the new subscription method they started last year). We have a SN & product key for our licenses.

I created a 2018 deployment. During the setup, I believe it asked about activation method, and the "Sign In" option sounded very flexible and convenient for us, so I went with that.

I run Revit 2018 for the first time, and am presented with a "Welcome to your trial" and I click the "Already have a license"... which takes me to an "activate" screen with "Activate" or "Cancel" buttons. I select Activate.

Revit closes (which the dialog indicates will happen).

I launch Revit 2018 again and am presented with "Let's Get Started" dialog which indicates
    1. Sign In
    2. Enter a SN
    3. Use Network License

    I go with "Sign In".

I am again presented with the "Welcome to your trial"...

    Around and around in circles.

I'm guessing I could go with the SN option and it would work, but is there any more to this, or just the typical Autodesk BS?

If we changed over to the "new" subscription method, would the "sign in" than work? I like the idea of sign-in if it allows me to manage licenses that I can easily revoke, and at the same time, our users can install on their own personal computer (e.g. at home) without having to worry about handing out SN's/product keys and having them burn through activations.

    Thanks!

I'm still on maintenance too. The only thing I know about sign is that you have to assign the product to the username in the Autodesk Management dialog - have you done that?
