Solid Fill Regions - Set to 80% transparency - Still Printing Solid

:banghead:I have used solid fill regions w/ Transparencies before.... (I was able to place a solid black fill over an image I wanted to fade) and it worked great!

I am trying to do it now and the color shows up solid... I have looked for a way to fix this but cannot find one.... anybody out there got a quick fix for this one? I am most likely just missing a setting somewhere.....

    Thanks!!

    okay found my answer!!!!

somebody switched the view to wireframe... It has to be set to hidden line to plot properly!

        Isn't this forum marvelous

Just after reading this thread I had exactly this problem - and the view was indeed in wireframe - switch to Hidden Line and transparent filled region plots perfectly to pdf.

So the question now is: In wireframe, why does transparency not work?
Answered my own question: Unfortunately its a known bug:

thank you. wireframe was the issue.

also raster vs vector printing will make a difference depending on the hatch pattern, usually modelled object with solid fill will only work properly using raster print option...

You might find (although I am not sure it will work) that if you set raster print and leave it on wireframe, it works as it should....not 100% sure on that one, worth a test.

I'm having the same issue, but it was already set to hidden line. Changing it to wireframe and then back to hidden line didn't work. Any other solutions? Raster does work, but unless you bump up the dpi drastically, which results in a massive file size, it looks like hot garbage in a pdf.
