    File format mystery

    Hi everyone,

I have just received some files from a stair manufacturer who claim to have designed their stairs using BIM software. For the life of me I can't work out what program they have used, or if it can be inserted into a Revit model.

the File format in question is a .O2C file

    Thanks

    From filext.com:
"The O2C file type is primarily associated with 'Objects to See 3D File Format' by mb Software AG. Highly compressed 3D file format that is optimized for Internet-based communication. A free player is available at the linked site."

I have never heard of it.

As far as I can see from Objects to See's website its a program that lets them export a 3D model that can be viewed in an internet browser....

You could post the file and some of us could look and see if we can get it to open with any other programs that we may have.

I had to upload it to sendspace, because the forum uploader thinks it is an invalid file type!

Have a look here, it's a german forum for those product. the above post deals with a need of conversion. you may send an email maybe.

object seems to be something like vrml and can be converted as 3ds objects.

              good luck!

                Thanks Guys

I have downloaded the plugin to allow me to view the model in full 3d with explorer.
