    Text in families

    Hi all,
We are currently working on a large multiple room & multiple level project. One of the guys has created a casework family to be placed in the rooms. Now rather than tagging this element in the project, is there anyway we can have some text in the family itself to show in the project?

yes you can but it has some downsides... You can use a Generic Annotation for this embedded into the Casework family. Major problem is using the family in different scaled views (1:100 vs 1:50).
Why not place it once, tag as preferred (with correct placement) and create a group including both (the tag will be created as a separate detail group). You can then place the Casework group AND the detail group at once.

      Thanks,
I was going to use this method or tagging and grouping but I thought I would look into removing the step of having to group.

      Thanks for confirming for me.
