Beam not join

I have 2 types of beams: 1 modeled with sweep and another with extrusion.
Beam sweep join with ceiling but beam extrusion not. Why?

Not near Revit ATM so I can't view your file. I'm guessing the Revit beam family functions by sweep as you can draw them with curves. Any reason you can't use a sweep for both of yours?

I cant open the file because its 2017 version and I am still on 2016. Yes yes I know...

To troubleshoot this however, my first point would be to check that you set the structural material for your extrusions correctly.
For materials to join each other, they must be the same material.

Assuming that is not the case, I would then check the extrusion family itself, and see if I can find something missing in that family.

OOTB Families beams are shaped with sweep and families columns are with extrusion. I modeled a beam with extrusion and function of join no working with wall, floor or ceiling. Is strange.

This answer does not directly address any of the previous replies or suggestions and it seems you have still not realised the first point of call to investigate your own question.

Sweep vs. Extrusion.

Revit is very specific about what it needs to give you what you want.
