    Outward Opening External Doors

Having placed a door into a wall, I want it to open outwards. If I do this, I find that the door is put into a stupid position in the opening with the door step indicated on the inside of the building when it should be on the outside. I want the door frame to be nearer to the outer face of the wall with the step to the outside. It'll do this for an inward opening door but if I want it to open outwards, it just flips the whole thing, and that's just flipping stupid!

    Edit your family
Try to add a "control" (ie capability to flip) also to the element you want to be able to reverse individually
You might find you need to nest that object into your family to have full control over the individual elements

If you haven't already - have a look at the doors Aaron posted. Great learning resource

Thankyou for this. For now, I am making do with a standard fire door that I've found on the system. This does the job, so I haven't completely flipped!
