    Wall & Finish Tag Workflow

    Hi Revitforum,

I am in the middle of my first project using the 3=1 wall system after reading about it here. So far it is working out great but have some general workflow questions my reading and searching has not answered.

What's the best approach for wall and finish tags? Is only the wall core being tagged in plan or do the finishes receive a tag as well?

How are wall type legends handled?

Formerly, using a single wall type for core and finish, the tagging and legend process was straight forward - we just ended up with too many of them!

Any insight is great as I am still learning this approach. Screenshots are helpful too.

There is an entire section on wall types in here, maybe one of the moderators can post the link.

We usually do 2 plans. We tag the wall type on the Architectural Plans our tags contain Fire rating/Core Type/Core Thickness 0HG

The finishes are usually tagged on an interior finishes plan. Each company does it differently

Yes, I've read through the 'managing wall types' thread. Lots of great information there.

Do you use a different looking wall tag when tagging on your interior finish plans? What about exterior materials - stucco, lap siding, wood rainscreen, etc.?
