    Scale?

    what does "Scale" represent when placing a callout or section?

      both views in question are already created. The view I'm in is 1/2" = 1'-0" and the view being referenced by the callout is 12" = 1'-0". Changing the scale value doesn't seem to do anything so I'm just curious about why it's an option

        oh sorry, you we're referencing another view. I guess it's here because they didn't hide it. useless when referencing another view.

          OK, I see now what it does. If you create a callout or section and change the scale value the resultant view will be that scale. I had never noticed that before and am surprised that I don't get section views at the incorrect scale sometimes because I never change the scale when creating callouts or sections.
