I am a new Revit user and am currently updating a model that was created by somebody else. The problem is I have redesigned the layout of internal walls which has changed the rooms and areas.I have updated the wall layout and room bounding boxes etc. The problem is when I pick area to show a colour fill for a floor finish layout sheet it still selects the old areas which arent there anymore.

and see how you get on from there.
Also check and make sure the old areas are cleared out of any Area Schedules in the Project Browser look for any Not Placed areas with in the schedule, if you find any delete um.
