Label parameter

hello everyone,
i am working on a titleblock and trying to add more labels. i need something that can be easily make changes by clicking on it twice from one of the sheets and apply to every sheets. yes, i can easily use 'text' instead of 'label'. but i want it to be little smarter.

this will take you to 'edit label ' pop up and ask you to pick from category parameter or create new. i tried to create new parameters but it doesn't work as i expected.

does anyone know how to make it work?

You must use shared parameters.

ok.
i did used the shares parameter. i did Add Parameter from 'edit label' created the 'shared parameter file' along with 'group' and 'parameter'.
after loading it to the project, i ve added to the project parameter using 'Shared parameter' with 'instance' on and 'text' for 'parameter group under'.
this made it kind of working. but it works on one sheet. if i make changes on one sheet, it doesn't appy to other sheet.
how do you make it work on every sheet.

i am practically trying to have more labels work exactly same as 'Project name' label.
how do you guys do it?

Did you try to make it a type parameter instead? That should change it in every instance.

A type parameter can't be applied to the Category Sheets in the Project. I bet that's why he made it an instance parameter. The funny thing is, you have to make it the category "Project Information" (and type parameter off course) to make it work on multiple sheets.

it worked. yes, it was the "project information" for mutiple sheets.

Chang, if you want to change several parameters in sheets, try using schedules with proper sorting.
It works, if you are not changing them often.
Sheet schedules are very armored.

Can you clarify? How can you set the shared parameter to be a type parameter AND within the category Project Information and/or Sheets? They seem mutually exclusive to me.

Well, you're completely right off course :hide:. It has to stay Instance. But you do need to apply it to Project Information...
