    Room Finishes Scheduling

What is the best workflow for scheduling floor finishes? I usually create key schedule for floor finishes and assign "keys" (floor finishes) to different rooms, then create room schedule with "floor finish" field. I've read on forums about addins for creating room schedule. What is your practice?

If you are already creating a room schedule there should already be a floor finish field you can add to your schedule. If you have time to watch a few YouTube videos do a search for Revit roombook extension.
There are no stupid questions, only stupid people

We do a lot of multi-family / hospitality / healthcare work and I've found key schedules to be pretty efficient. Set up the key for typical room types and you can populate an entire building in a couple clicks.

key schedule (say room style w/ all finishes) cannot be populated across links, isn't it? not like room schedule which can pull all linked rooms info. including finishes, hope i'm wrong.

No. The key schedules of files are independent. Probably because if they weren't, changing the ks data had to modify the linked document which is read only.

You can bring in the ks from the linked file. But be careful as each file will use its own ks.
