    Object hatches and phasing

Is there a way to override the phasing graphics in a view? In our plans we like to show existing walls as hatched, but in our interior elevations we like to see the walls with no hatch. I have tried using a VG override on cut patterns, but it doesn't seem to work for phasing graphics.

Are you using the VG overrides in the phasing dialogue box?
Go to the Manage tab, phasing panel. Click on the phaes button. In that box there is a graphic overrides tab. That should do it.

Right, that's what I'm currently doing, but that's an overall override and what is causing my problem.
I want existing to be hatched every except my elevations.

Uhhmm... maybe a little too obvious. But have you uncheked the "Visible" option for surface patterns in "Phasing" > "Graphic Overrides" ?

Since it´s only the surface pattern that are getting turned off, you´ll still see the cut pattern in plan views, and no pattern in elevation views.

I want the cut patterns to disappear in the interior elevations, yet remain in the other drawings. The problem is that the "visible" option the Phasing tab is for the entire project, not just one view.

So you want the cut pattern on in plan views and exterior elevations, and off in interior elevations ?

If that´s the case, your looking at some manual work one way or another.
            1. Manually pick the existing walls in the interior views, and override graphics by view.
            2. Create a Yes/No project parameter, e.g. "Is Existing" and apply it to the Wall category. Manually check the "Is Existing" box for all existing walls (should be rather easy in a view only displaying existing phase) and create a View Filter that relates to Walls and the "Is Existing" parameter...
            3. Accept the outcome as it is, and move on... ?
