    RAC 2012 installation problem.

I tried to install RAC2012 but it took forever and I uninstalled it.
I tried 2-3 times but with problems...
It works only once... If I close RAC once, I can't re open, I get the error dialog.
So I uninstalled it and I tried to install again but it sais that it is already there!
Typical... so I used Ashampoo Winoptimiser, CCleaner etc... and regedit and removed every 2012 key from my registry.
I used the above apps again but still nothing!
I uninstalled ACAD2012, MAXdes2012 and I did everything twice, re-used regedit and removed what ever was 2012 app or component...
    Still nothing!!!!
    Tried with Revo Uninstaller, nothing!
What is the best way to eliminate all traces from previous installations?
    I can't update!

Have you tried this solution from Autodesk? Don´t know if it´ll work after all the things you already tried, but it´s worth a shot.

Thank you for the quick response... Well, I new about this Adesk solution, and I already tried that, actually it is less effort than the one I did...
The only solution I can think of now is to uninstall RAC2011 and try again. Although I can't imagine how these two can mix, there is a 0.0001% chance to work...
Next step is make a nice new clean PC... The only thing I can't stand is windows installation and all other updates... SP1, etc...

You could try to manually delete the registry entries with "regedit", but you should know what you are doing.

What about running the Microsoft Installer Clean Up tool?

There is a file in the C:\ProgramData\Autodesk directory called appindex.xml. This can cause some pretty bad installation issues with all Autodesk products if it becomes corrupt. I have resolved a number of installation issues by deleting this file. The next install will recreate it.
