Wall sweep not following editted profile, any workarounds?

This may be a ridiculously simple question.
I have previously not used wall sweeps on edited profiles.
The wall sweep only stays at the point where the wall is horizontal and stops where the profile is edited.
I can only surmise that Revit still sees the wall as un-edited and the edit is merely visual, therefore if the wall portion is "not visible" the wall sweep will also not be visible.

Alternately, would you create angled/sloped walls so that the sweep remains at the top and is angled? That seems like way too much work to get the desired effect.

    Are there any workarounds?
    Is this typical?

if the sweep is built into the wall it won't follow the edited profile. you will have to place the sweep manually, or use a model line and place it using either an in-place sweep or the fascia tool.

You can create a Sweep along a path for the sloped cap, and apply a Profile.

I used model lines to trace the path up the sloped portion and over the flat part of the wall, then created an in-place sweep with an OOTB Precast Parapet Cap Profile. You could do the same with your Profile shape.
