[All Verticals] - View areas and tabs for windows

    Applies to: - All Verticals

    New Feature / Problem:
Views should be sortable to customized view areas. As soon as more than 1 view in a view area, the view should be displayed at the top as a tab (See pictures). If u grab a tab and move it to the view area, a graphical option-menu should appear to move it to another view area. If u activate a new view with a double click in the project browser, the graphical option menu should appear to choose a preferred view area.

    Example from MS visual studio:

Also a CTRL-TAB Menu would be nice, to show all open views in a list like this:

Why do you need this Feature / Why is it a Problem:
This workflow would be especially good for user with more than one monitor. It takes much time to size the views.

    Workflow:
grab a tab and move it easily to other predefined view areas

    Benefits:
    time saving

Have you seen Palladio? It's a free app in Autodesk Exchange. Not exactly what you've stated (with the draggable tabs), but it's close.
