[All Verticals] - Move Room Tag - Add Leader

    Applies to: - All Verticals

    New Feature / Problem:
When you drag a Room Tag out of the boundaries of the Room, you get a Warning dialog that you should Move the Tag to the Room (back where it came from?) or Add a Leader.
    (See image)
There's a button for "Move to Room".
There SHOULD be a button for "Add Leader".

Why do you need this Feature / Why is it a Problem:
You're going to want to Add a Leader a lot more often than moving the tag back to where you just dragged it from.

    Workflow:
    Current workflow:
    Drag Room Tag
    Click OK on warning
Move mouse back to Options Bar
    Click Leader box

    Benefits:
    - One less click
    - Much less mouse travel
    - "Move to Room" does pretty much the same thing as "Cancel"
    - "Add Leader" = 90%; Move to Room" = 10%

Before moving the tag out of the room, select the tag, and from the Options bar, check "Leader". Now you can move the room tag out of the room, get the leader, and avoid the error message.

I guess my point is more that it's easier to check a big "Add Leader" button on the dialog (which is also closer to what I'm editing) than to go way over to the upper left and check a little tiny check box.
Plus I have to remember to do that BEFORE I move the Tag & I usually don't plan that far in advance.

I'd rather no error message or buttons at all... if I drag a room tag out of a room...just turn on the leader for me. The action defines the "intent" more often than not. If I need to move the room I can select the tag and room to move them together or just delete the tags and tag all later.

          Good point, Steve.
Why fix a problem when you can avoid it altogether?
