    lumion and revit compatibility

    Hi All,
Got a question. How do you export a revit file to lumion?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I'm not a expert of Lumion but it seems that Lumion accept FBX format. In term of visualization FBX is the most appropriate format from Revit.
That said. It need to be tested and validated.

    best regards.

Revit>FBX>Max>OpenCollada ( may need plugin for Max ) > Lumion

Lumion is awesome. Just needs artificial lighting system and it will be unbeatable. TwinMotion has artificial lighting
and a Revit plug-in; also does a very nice job as a RT / GPU rendering app.

It looks nice and fast, however I am not impressed with the quality of the pictures...
I believe that a GPU renderer like Octane is fast and gives better results...
Revit Architecture - 3ds MAX Design - Octane Render - and many working hours...

But does Octane have "gaming engine" features such as gravity, wind, moving water/waves, topography tools, --i.e. a "world" to place your building model into?

If you take a deeper look inside the Lumion gallery, there are some very high quality shots and animations--and bear in mind this is a Real Time app, not a "raytracing" app, so it's an apples to oranges comparison.
