    Great Visual Techniques

We did a write up on some great Visualization techniques for Revit that will blow your mind and have some asking if that was actually Revit. Check it out if you get some free time http://www.archdesignlabs.com/2011/0...perimentation/

There was a great presentation at RTC along these lines. It's amazing what you can do with View Filters and Overrides in 3D views, 100% within Revit!

Oh really? I hate that I keep missing RTC (I always say, next year I will go). Revit can be an amazing tool if you take some time and just let your mind wander. Do you know if the presenter you are talking about has a blog or who it was?

It was the "Revit for Presentations: Graphics that "Pop" by Jason Grant" presentation.

I don't think you can download the class materials without a login you got by going to the RTC NA, but Jason's blog is here:
http://jasongrant.squarespace.com/ and hopefully he'll post stuff up there sometime.

Jason also has a myriad of 2d/3d entourage that look very much like silhouettes, that definetely make the drawings pop. He uses some simple Filters with Comments Parameters to do a lot of it (which could be built in to an office standard using a shared parameter, which is what im planning), and his stuff looked amazing.

He sent me the Powerpoint, but ill forward him a link to the thread to see if he minds sharing it. I dont want to post it unless he wants to, and id rather he come participate here.

Glad you guys liked the presentation at RTC. I will be doing it again for AU2011 so I don't want to publicly spread around the presentation just yet. It would spoil the excitement caused by the chatter.

I will say though that I hope to make enough changes and new developments that even people who saw it at RTC would get something out of it.

Adam - I will send you a DM to talk more.

Jason, great to see you here. Long time follower of your blog...
For the ones definately not going to AU this year (which includes me, since my wife is supposed to give birth around that time): is this going to be on the AU download site afterwards?
