Feet & Inches Calculator software ?

I'm looking for a feet & inches calculator software - something simple just like the calculator that comes with Windows, except can calculate feet, inches, and fractions of inches.

I've already done a google search, but keep coming up with broken shareware links from when Windows 98 was still popular (wow, that's starting to seem like a really long time ago).

I found a couple on-line calculators, but that's not real handy.

Anyone have a recommendation, either free or inexpensive shareware?

I'm sure there are some nice iOS/Android apps (and feel free to recommend those as well), but I'm really looking for something that I can keep floating on my 2nd monitor while doing a few very specific tasks in Revit (e.g. shop drawings).

Calculated Industries makes wonderful Android / iPhone versions of their Construction Master series calculators. I picked one up as soon as it was available on Android phones. Works great if your phone screen is 4.3"+ . They are a little condensed on smaller phone screens but still work great...

As far as finding something Windows based, I went searching down that road before and came up with similar results as you...

Is it too bad to suggest, since you haven´t found anything yet, to open AutoCAD Architecture :hide: in the other monitor? The calculator and its conversion units are fantastic.

I always found Excel spreadsheet to work the best here. I found a nice routine on MrExcel.com that worked great. Here is a simple spreadsheet I used way back when.

I find it great that there are so many tools and software that can tie into our workflow. Every few weeks, there is a need to add another file format to the "allowed" category on the forum in order to reflect this.

Don't forget that you should be able to "zip" any file and attach it to a forum post.

I always forget about zipping attachments these day. Back in the day e-mail systems could not handle large or multiple attachments. Then I used ZIPs all the time. Now not so much.

The macro takes decimal feet and converts to fraction feet and inches. I had one that went the other way but I cannot find it.

I used these a lot back when I was trying to transfer analysis results from one system to another.

However, what I'm looking for is a calculator that will allow me to add up several numbers made up of feet, inches and fractions of an inch. If I understood your spreadsheet correctly, it only converts decimal to architectural.

E.g. 24 3/8" + 1 5/16" + 4 1/4".

And yes, I can do it in my head, but that takes too much brain power. Right now, I'm modeling a ton of cabinet shop drawings. The cabinet maker has dimensioned everything out to the 1/16 of an inch. I could lay down a bunch of detail lines, dimension them out and then put an overall, but that seems like a lot more work then just punching them into a calculator. However, that might be better than nothing.

If there was a spreadsheet that would allow me to plug in at least three or four numbers like that, that would work as well.

Nevermind, after looking at your first post again I see your looking for software, not an online calculator. You should go pick up a feet/inches calculator, they're very handy to have around
