    A new beginning

Hello, and welcome to this new forum, dedicated to all the Revit Users "out there"

This new Forum is not meant to substitute the AUGI forums, but have been created for those who have abandoned the AUGI ship, after the recent disaster over there.

RevitForum.org will be build and maintained by the users for the users, and will not be run as a business - I´ll personally cover the expenses, and will do so without advertisement on the Forum (However, I´ll reserve the right to cover the hosting bill by advertisement/or donations, if the hosting bill get out of hand some way down the road)

And to the question "Why": Simple enough - I owe most of my Revit skills to all the USERS of the old AUGI Forum, a knowledge that has been invaluable over the last couple of years with economic crisis and all. And to be honest, I´d hate to see all of you people get scattered all over the internet, without a decent place to hang out, to help others, or get helped. Besides... my first name obligates me to do something good around this time a year :-)

Am looking for volunteers, who will join this Forum with Admin/Moderator skills ! Just say the word !
The admins/moderators, will also be supplied with 100% access to the Hosting Company, SQL Database, Admin Area etc. etc. - As I do not believe that a Forum like this, should be run by one individual.

Also looking for feedback on this forum: Layout, Design, Functionality etc. etc. - Please use this sandbox forum for this purpose.

Please dig in, and let´s get this going.

    - Klaus Munkholm

Hi Alf, thanks for the invite! And a BIG thanks to Munkholm for getting this going. I'll be on the ask questions side of the board for awhile but look forward to being able to contribute with answers as my Revit knowledge continues to grow. Let's Go!

HUGE thanks for getting this going. Like I've said in some other alternative forums that have been set up, I'm feeling kind of lost so I'll continue to lurk and post in multiple forums until there is one spot where most AUGI ex-pats have landed. This looks nice so far! I have no Admin/Moderator skills in web forums but I'd be happy to help in other ways if I can!

          Alfredo, Dave and Chad.

You´re all very welcome, and thank you for the support.

At the time beeing, the greatest help of all, would be to spread the word around

Another huge thanks to you Munkholm. This really is amazing and looks great.

I'll certainly let all my Revit friends know about the new site, and we've already got the thread on AUGI's Revit forum (which it looks like they're moving... so don't know how long that will last). As great as this is, it only works if people start showing up. I guess we'll just have to see how it goes. But no matter what comes of this, what you've done here is really wonderful.

So very true Iru ! Thanks for showing up, and for your support - Are you the new mod for the Hardware forum ? and perhaps other areas of interest ? Please

Munkholm, thank you very much for setting this up. I can't imagine returning to AUGI, so I really hope this works out and becomes the 'go to' place for Revit support.

It's unfortunate we have to start over and a shame all that information has, for the moment, been lost. I agree with iru69, it's only going to work if people contribute, that's what made AUGI so great. I'm willing to post here as it seems to be a bit easier.

Thanks for getting this started Klaus, the format is great! Feels just like the good old days. I'm also kind of watching a couple places to see where most of us end up but I'm willing to help out any way I can since I also learned most of what I know about Revit from helpful members and helping out others. Thanks again for getting this going!
