    Presentation Handout Question

I'm putting together a presentation on Dynamo and am finding a lot of information repeating between examples, such as Import / Export to Excel & list filtering. I'm considering creating a section covering these types of thing in the front and excluding all of the specifics in the examples, other than a reference back to that section. As a reader - would you find this approach to be OK or would you prefer to have the specifics of creating that workflow under each example that it is covered?

My only real concern is that some people (I'm bad about this) will go to the example they want without reading everything and potentially end up lost.

Aint it fun trying to herd them off at the pass. Chad, those people will do that anyway. My advice is to design it as a workflow, and that section that covers the repeating information almost becomes an appendix. Or include the section in the most important example, and colour those pages differently or something, and then they can go back to them easily.
The end result is the people who want to learn will follow whatever technique you use. The ones who dont want to learn and maybe dont have the nous, stuff themselves up anyway by flicking just to the section.
Hey, an idea for you. When im putting together something like this, i often try to replicate the subject into the delivery method. Sounds weird, but it works. So, Dynamo has a certain workflow/GUI. can you creat your presentation to graphical follow this sort of interaction? By the end of it, they have learnt about it by being part of it. Does work, and laughter happens.

Thanks. I however don't quite follow what you mean in that last bit :hide:
