    Quality.

I just wanted to make an observation. Perhaps it has been made by someone else, perhaps not.
I still lurk over at that other place sometimes, but I think that its not just the quality of the answers here that are now better, but the quality of the questions. I find myself only going back there to only look for things from the past.
Inertia does not equal innovation. Thanks to Klaus and the faithful crew here. This place now feels much more comfortable to me than that other place - and I appreciate that.

I'd be curious to know if this is the feelings of mostly Revit users from that other place or if now the AutoCAD and other autodesk software users are now left feeling void.

That is an interesting observation. Yes, a good forum needs not only good answers but also good questions. Thanks for sharing.

Actually, it is. Without you, Dan, I think this place would be pretty boring.
I don't ask many questions because I can usually find an answer on one of these forums (most of my users are either noobs or know how to use Google themselves).
I have found that in the world of the Googles if you can ask the right question, you can find out almost anything...

I think the thing to remember is that a forum exodus will almost always see the migration of the old guard stalwarts - and they're the people who make forums what they are. The changes to AUGI/RUGI upset people, and RevitCity lost faith with it's security breaches... and those issues are addressed here - and by inviting the community to have an input shaping the forum is always a nice touch.

The growth of a new forum (like this) then solely relies upon web-exposure to "catch" people who'd otherwise make their way, innocently enough, to more obvious places (ie. "the other place").... at which point there'll need to be a few more "welcome, read this first" stickies to keep the flood of one-post members asking questions answered by the help file to a minimum...

Speaking of Quality (not quantity), have you looked at this list?
It's the best of Revitforum.org, month by month:

You can't get anything better than that.

I agree. I am a designer/spec builder and things being slow in Florida I have not been particularly busy lately but I still check with the forum each day or so to keep up with with what's going on with Revit. I find the quality here better than elsewhere. Thanks to all of you.
