    Revit = Fun!

    Anyone else think Revit is just......well..........fun?
    I know it's work and it's our jobs to use it and all. But I seriously have fun figuring stuff out and modeling things in ten minutes that took me half a day in ACA.

    This was way more than ten minutes, but I modeled lube center basement. Not everything is modeled (the tanks are missing, as well as all the hoses and supply lines) and I probably won't, but here it is complete with catwalks, crosswalk, tool boards, oil filter racks, and guard rails. I think it looks pretty cool for a dirty old lube center. :laugh:

    if you don't watch out you'll end up like me...62yo and can't wait to get to the office in the morning to do something/anything in Revit. This isn't work, this is DISNEY WORLD for old (and others I suppose) people

          Ermm, don't you have to have RMEP to do that?? :laugh:

          I'm not going to show all that. It serves no purpose as far as the building goes. Maybe I'll do it one day for grins. Since I saw the RPC first responders, I've been wanting to render a lube center in flames! :laugh: That would be awesome.

            Just download the trial and rip out all of the content. Or look on Seek. I think a lot of the OOTB content is on there as well.

              I've always enjoyed my job and using computers to draw things. But since we started using Revit in 2008 I LOVE modeling things. I like getting to build the building and figure out the puzzle of how to put things together to make it work. When we get a new project to work on I can't wait to head to the office every morning. Even if it is just downstairs.

                I retired when I was 50. Lasted less than a year. Can't play golf every day...boring. Now I live on the golf course, play 2 or 3 days a week in the morning and work the rest of the time. If I had a choice of doing anything I wanted for a day, I'd be in the office creating something in Revit. I don't do yard work, I don't do house work, I do REVIT
