              Ha, I actually bought a $6.000 machine only a couple of years back - Not for me, but for the company I worked for then (for rendering only) Today that beast would already be obsolete though... even with 4 quad cores...

                  Not to be a downer, but aren't those Quadro video cards way over priced given how Revit utilizes DirectX technology now? I don't know if it DirectX but I know that gaming video cards that you can get for 100.00 or cheaper at your local brick and mortar stores do a decent job running Revit...

                    I spent all of 15 min specing out the computer... I am sure there is a lot that could be done to make it a bit more budget conscience... It is designed for RDC connections... so techincaly you could almost run any video card you wanted.
