    Our New Home

Thanks to a herculean effort by Klaus, we are now happily ensconced in our new home in downtown DC with ServInt.

It would be interesting to hear how the new location is working out response time wise for everyone. For me, is it about the same, maybe slightly faster, even though there are ten less hops to get to the new server compared with GlobalGold in the UK.

    Cheers,

      Thanks Martijn,
I will see if I can find where to edit the poll.

Try the yellow pencil next to the Title of the poll ?

I voted "No Noticeable difference" - But if anything, it´s a tiny tiny bit slower to respond... But that's expected, since, like Martijn said, the server is no longer located in our backyard.

I did... Cause it is. It's not really slow, but noticeably slower then before. But nothing to be done. It was fun while it lasted. At least it's still is a hell of a lot faster then AUGI... I was over there following up on a blogpost last week, and is it me or is that site become really really slow?

Using transip.nl - It seems that your number of hops have gone from 8 > 15 and average ping time from 30ms > 82ms - Still a decent connection, and should not cause much noticeable difference in page loading times....

                  I'm very demanding....
Like I said, it's not slow. But I do notice a difference. Especially in page loading time when posting and search queries.

It's definately felt a little sluggish - and there was an out earlier today (ruining my morning coffee read) - but maybe things need to "settle" ? I don't know (or really care) how this stuff works.

Still, good to see we're all back online.
