How about a live Revit session?

    Hi everybody.

After last night Birthday Party meeting, and after seeing Carl at work (say Hi to Kim ), an idea came to my mind.

How about once a week, at a given hour, an expert from Revit Forum answers live (via chat or conference) to quick questions? Even more, he can share the screen and actually show what is doing. We can keep the recordings of the live session and so the information will not be lost.

I really enjoyed Julien and Carl's demonstration last night and I can tell you that I've learned a few tricks from their workflow.

This is just a brainstorming thread. Please post your ideas.

Hope Munkholm will forgive me for being so pushy.

    Regards,
    Lucian.

    Hi,

I second this idea, as it was such a great time to celebrate! US music is not that cool , but anyway, thanks Carl for sharing!! And also a big thank to Alfredo for providing us technical means and support.

But maybe we will have to fix so technical issues (free soft to share screens?). and chat is not always the best solution ...(Dan and Alex, stay quiet please!).

8 or 9 pm GMT could match, with a timing restricted to an hour or two...

I guess attendee's number has to be limited.

    wait to see others thoughts....

Well, as long as Tic and Tac are kept out of the loop, it would be a great idea.
Count me in... can't promise to be presenting something for the next few weeks, but after the dust settles here at home I'd be more then happy to share some of my current work (although by far not as huge as the projects I've seen yesterday).

I'm starting to see a pattern. I suggest something, people loose interest then suggest it again!

I use mikogo for the free screen share and I have a Mumble server that we can use if you REALLY want audio (free also of course). If people are still interested will gladly do an hour of sharing and helping on a weekly basis.

Oops, just noticed that mikogo limits to 10 for the free version on the screen share. I'll root around for another option.

What I have seen on other forums is paid support too...where you can remote in to someone's computer and help them if out (if IT allows it)...perhaps if one was to implement that the funds would go to help pay for the forums instead of someone's pocket?
