"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to mdradvies again."

(i'm still not sure where to post about issues with the forum so feel free to move it)

...So in reference to this thread's title, what if i haven't read anyone else's posts yet that I'd like to give rep for?

I'm not a stalker and I'm not intending to embarrass or big-note anyone. As far as I'm concerned giving rep is a spur of the moment thing, thought of while you're reading the actual post. I have no idea (well not much) of who I've given rep to previously, I'd just like to know why, and can it be changed?

It would be a big shame if rep couldn't be given to those who deserve it, unless I spend my time to find someone else to rep first, and this isn't going to happen.

EDIT: this is the post, tell me there's no deserved rep for this one!

Hi Elton, that´s a good point ! The rep. system is pretty much running with OOTB default settings, but it´s easy to change.

    The current settings are:
Daily Reputation Clicks Limit = 10
(How many reputation clicks a user can give over each 24 hour period)
    Reputation User Spread = 5
(How many different users you must give reputation to before you can hit the same person again)

I´m pretty sure the default settings, are to prevent that a given user will give several "rep. clicks" to the same user for the same thread/answer... It would be nice if it were possible to just limit the rep. clicks to 1 pr. user pr. thread... but that´s not possible, at least not without "hacking" the script.

The post you´ve linked, most certainly deserves some rep ! But unless we decide to change to above settings, it´s not possible...

    Signatures moved "Up"

Been meaning to tweak this for a while, and finally found a way to do it.

Before, the signatures in each post where aligning below the userinformation (to the left), and caused a lot of empty space in short posts.

Now, the signature is moved "up" to align below the post content.

Should save everyone for some unnecessary scrolling

New subforum added: Forum Suggestions and Feedback

The "Out There" forum was getting cluttered up with technical issues, so I´ve just added a new subforum "Forum Suggestions and Feedback" (This forum)
Previous posts from the "Out There" forum regarding technical issues, suggestions, feedback, etc. have been moved to here.

The "Out There" forum is now solely for chit-chat and off topic discussions

And for those that prefer to scroll even less (myself included), I thought I'd point out that it is possible turn off the display of signatures in Settings > General Settings > Thread Display Options.

Cool I was not aware of that - But thank you for pointing it out (just proves that this is "learning on the fly")
