    ASD sub forum.

    Hi,

Since the AUGI forum is kind of dead, I would be very happy to see an ASD subforum. Being part of the Revit Structure Suite could be the "necessary" connection to fit this forum.
I promise I'll be very active on it, since I use ASD every day.

    Thank you.

    Lucian.

I vote for. maybe should this be a sub forum of RST, and should deal not only with ASD but also with analysis softwares, detailing soft and so on.....

Not to be nosy or anything, but ASD... That´s "A" for "AutoCad Structural Detailing"?? Right?

Do all (or at least most) RST users also use ASD? (I really have no clue)

If it´s relevant to the majority of the RST users, I don´t have a problem with it... So keep the feedback coming, and we´ll figure out what should be done (or not done)

To support this request I'll give the link to a discussion from some time ago:

    http://revitforum.org/showthread.php...rmwork-drawing

In my post, it is described how I use the Revit Structure and why ASD is vital, and it seems that I'm not the only one doing this. Hope for a better solution, but I see none for now.

Also, I support Julien's request, but I didn't want to be pushy.

    Regards,
    Lucian.

Well, it IS the officially supported workflow for structural detailing. I don't see why not (and most of the RST-firms I know use Autocad for their detailling)

So, if we create a sub-forum for this, what should it be named? And any suggestions for a description too?

    Example:

    Revit Structure - Interoperability
Autodesk Structural Detailing, Robot Structural Analysis, E-Tabs???, CSC Fastrak???

ASD is part of the Revit Structure Suite so can fit under the "Revit Structure" sub-forum.

This sounds good, but I'm not sure where it fit the best.

I think this will be great. We are looking into ASD, Fastrack, Tedds, and E-Tabs right now (not all for the same purpose). Thanks!
