Or make the threads you already read it with custom css style, because i`m tented to re read the same info everytime i check the homepage
Klaus, is this possible ? Would be great if user could define content. ie. New Post, New Threads, Recent Activity etc........

User defined content in the Sidebar would require some major customization of the forum scripts, so the answer here is no.

But, as you noticed it´s possible to change some Global settings, and I´m all ears if you have better suggestions?
The current "Recent Forum Activity" is a Forum Threads Block set to: Newly replied threads will displayed first.

    Global Options:

    New Forum Posts
Displays a list of the most recent posts

    Forum Threads Block
Newly started threads will display first
Newly replied threads will displayed first

To demonstrate this, I´ll temporarily activate two more blocks so you can see them in action. Then after the weekend, we can decide which one(s) to keep

New Forum Posts - Displays a list of the most recent posts
Forum Threads Block - Newly started threads will display first

The side bar shows my correct forum settings time sometimes, sometimes not
