    "Small" screen devices ?

Just how many of you would use these forums from your small screen devices (such as smartphones) if there was a lowbandwidth / narrow forum style for that purpose ?

It would be rather easy to set up a style like the attached, which only uses 20 KB compared to normally 300 KB....

Let us know if you´d use it !

I acess the forums from my iPhone and iPad all the time, but the "full" forum also works fine. As long as we don't introduce any Flash to the site I'll be happy.

I'm so glad you brought this up!... literally just a few hours ago, I was waiting for my lunch order and surfed over to revitforum.org on my iPhone. It was tiny... had to keep zooming and panning... not worth it at all. I thought to myself, I need to ask Munkholm whether it's possible to have a mobile version of the forums.

Yep works fine for me on the iPhone at the moment and data isnt a problem for me. Zooming can be annoying though, so a native mobile format would be good.

Also with other vBulletin forums I use a program on the iPhone called Tapatalk, I intially though it must work with all forums using vBulletin but after further research it looks like the forum owner has to register for the forum to be compatiable. May be work taking a look http://www.tapatalk.com/plugin.php

The free app allows you to only read the forums, but for a small fee you can do quite a bit, and the UI is quite nice

I voted yes. I use a Blackberry as I can't get reception here with AT&T so can't have an iPhone. The zooms and pans using the small Blackberry screen make it worthless for forum browsing. Hopefully the mobile ap would fix that

yes again, I use an Iphone. And the cool stuff is that if I get a PM, a pop up appears on the screen. That's works fine for me so, but a mobile version will be applaud.

He he (Back to the keyboard)

There´s now a new Mobile Style - Your phones/devices should be autodetected, and the Mobile Style should therefor be default on all "small" screen devices.
If you´d rather use the normal layout on your device, it´s should be possible to select another style at the bottom...

Let us know what you think !

Interesting ! Just added this forum to Tapatalk (and installed the plugin), but can not test it on my outdated Nokia phone (No iPhone)
But maybe you wanna take it for a spin ? And let me know if it´s not working as expected ?
