    difficulty typing in this forum...

It seems that the first couple minutes i type on this forum, the keystrokes all register. After a while, the typing becomes difficult because the forum "skips" and will not read my keystrokes. It also seems to not want to scroll down or up (it scrolls, then jumps right back to where I was before automatically).
I am not sure if this is on my end of he computer or it is a setting n th forum tht i could chang, but i becomes quite annoying. Ifany ne has ay insight pleae letme know.

(that last line was an example of the problem kicking in). It seems to start once the "auto save" function starts.

That happened to me too on this forum, and this forum only. But it only happens in internet explorer. Sigh. So if I want to visit this forum I launch chrome instead. :-/

I've also had a similar issue in IE (not sure which version) in Windows 8.

Was going to say it might be an IE issue....but are you typing from a computer or a smart(dumb) phone? Lots of the grammar, spelling, etc issues are similiar to cell phone users...

I don't have issues in Firefox, which is what I use on my PC and this forum. When I'm using my iPad I get a weird issue every now and then when I reply. When I begin typing the keyboard goes away as if I'm finished typing. It usually takes cancel the reply a couple times before I can type a response. Happens using Safari or Chrome on the iPad. As I said, weird.

I haven't had any problems on my android tablet using chrome, nor chrome/firefox on my desktop. Yet to try it on my smartphone, but I use chrome again on there.

Chrome is the superior web browser in terms of compatibility with modern webpages as of right now. However I have been having some issues with Chrome recently, plus its a memory hog.

Some internet application do not run in Chrome or FireFox, only in IE. Even if you are on a Mac and are using Safari, IE may be required to view pages.

Your best bet is to have IE with Chrome or Firefox. If a page is not working in one browser try the other browser.

    hmmm,
well I only have explorer running on windows seven. I am curious if perhaps it is the settings where you can upload videos or all the elaborate emoticons.

Is there a way to politely ask the creators or developers to address this or something we could change in the settings?

I haven't had IE on a computer for years (and years and years) and have never run into a webpage that I couldn't access with Firefox...Of course I don't frequent *those* websites like you do

Casey, this is a peer to peer forum basically. I don't think that your problem is related to settings on the forum or we would have gotten much grief over the years. Download and install Firefox and use a good browser...it's free.

    I see,
Thanks, Ill look into doing that. As of right now, I feel like a 6 year old trying to type. haha.

So far I have only taken and not given anything to the forum, but perhaps as I become more efficient I will be able to contribute. BUT if anyone wants to know the wrong way to do things, I can help!
