Get rid of forum runner/tapatalk popups?

    Hi Munkholm,

I'd like to request getting rid of the "forum runner" and "tapatalk" popups that happen when accessing RFO from a mobile device.

The annoyance is that when using web browsers on mobile devices with the "privacy" setting turned on, I am pestered with two popups for every single navigation click on the RFO site. E.g. go to RFO, have to click the cancel button twice. Go into a subforum, have to hit the cancel button twice more. Click on a thread, have to hit the cancel button twice more. Click next page on a thread, have to hit the cancel button twice more. It basically makes the site unusable with privacy settings turned on.

I think we're a few years into the mobile device thing, and users who want such software can go find it themselves. If RFO wants to suggest those apps in a FAQ, or you want to make it a sticky about it in this subforum, that makes more sense to me then being constantly pestered with suggestions at every turn for apps that I don't want. And frankly, RFO is the only one that I've come across this issue.

Thanks again for all the great work running RFO!

agreed (even though I only have to click twice when entering the forum, don't get any other popups)

Would you not considering using Tapatalk for browsing from your phone? Seriously, it's one of the most used apps on my phone. Browsing forums is such a breeze. No zooming, pages load faster, simple interface, no ads.......practically flawless.
