    Disable Dynamo version choice

Is there any way to disable the option for Dynamo 1.3.4 in 2019?
I want to force everyone to use 2.0.
I'd rather not uninstall 1.3 because that needs to be available for older Revit version (2017)
Is there any way I can just tell 2019 to use ONLY Dynamo 2.0
When I ran the 2019.2 Service patch it installed 1.3.4 as part of the update.

I'm trying to figure out some way I can just disable 1.3 for 2019 without visiting every computer and uninstalling 1.3

    I see there's a line in the Dynamo.addin file
    <Assembly>"C:\Program Files\Dynamo\Dynamo Revit\2\Revit_2019\DynamoRevitVersionSelector.dll" </Assembly>
But I don't see anything like an .xml file that that might read

I renamed the Revit_2019 folder in the C:\Program Files\Dynamo\Dynamo Revit\1.3\ folder, that killed the selector view in R19 while keeping 1.3 availabe in R17.

*Edit: So you can also do it the other way round, rename the Revit_2017 folder in the C:\Program Files\Dynamo\Dynamo Revit\2 folder to force 1.3 use in R17.

I think 2.0 was not supported in R16, but I could be wrong.

**Edit 2: The problem gets murkier when you want the Dynamo Player deployed to the user, you should test if the renaming of the folders above also influences the blind choice the Player makes when it starts up before the user started Dynamo in the same Revit Session.

    Perfect!
    That's exactly what I wanted.
As far as I can tell, it works for Dynamo Player too, but: how do I tell what version of Dynamo the Player is using?

That's easy, if your perfectly tested 2.0 scripts keep crashing while running perfectly from Dynamo, then the Player is using 1.3

So, now I've been installing the Dynamo 2.0.2 update.
    Guess what it does?
Yup. Installs the 1.3/Revit_2019 folder again.
And now my batch file is blowing up because I've ALREADY got a renamed 1.3/DONTUSE_Revit_2019 folder.

I assume I won't break anything if I just delete the 1.3/Revit_2019 folder instead of renaming it, will I?

Don't think so, but worth a test.

I wonder if/when they will stop bundling up the Dynamo installs like this (also with the Revit updates you get 1.3 back), it's getting really annoying.

I've been setting up an office where they use a number of scripts through the Player, they started Dynamo last year, so we decided to go 2.0 onwards. So now any Revit update I have to tell IT to go in and deinstall all the 1.3 versions, they've scripted it, but it's still a pain.

Last I heard Gordon hasn't been able yet to split the Dynamo part from that installer?

Sure he has. I believe he offers a full "split" definition now, on pulling them apart.
