Exclamation create area-bounding-line from dwg-line, but how

    Hello Dynos,

    I don t find a solution:

I want just convert a Layer from a linked dwg to an area-seperation-line.

I am able to collect the lines(.dwg)!
I can put them on a plane!

    but i can`t generate area-bounding-lines

I choose the correct View and Layer

    Can anybody help me?

    KR

    Andreas

An Area Seperation line exists in a view only. So the plane that is asked in the AreaSeperator.FromCurve Node is not the Plane from the Level but the Plane from your Area Plan View.

I ran into this trying to place detail components in Sales Brochure Drawings, Needed the Plane from that particular view, ended up solving it with the View.Plane node from Clockwork. You will probably also need the Curve.PullOntoPlane Node to get the curve from the CAD line pulled onto the placement plane.

So, don't start the bottom half off your script by selecting a level, start by selecting your Area Plan View, into View.Plane into PullOntoPlane and feed that into the AreaBoundary Node (That also needs to be connected to the Area Plan View, something that is missing in your screenshot)

I don't know how that warning translates into English but I'm guessing it's line is too short, which unfortunately is normal with tiny lines in revit.

It works! it calls endposioning is not correct. I will continue, thats a big step forward!
Next challange is to make this with 60 floors. I would like to repeat that for each floor and not using active view.
