Help designating a point on a plan and calculating distance to object above

    Hey,

I'm entirely new to dynamo and could use some help to understand why my code wont work. What I am trying to accomplish is to define a point on my plan, and to be given the distance to any object directly above it (complex ceiling or beam for example).

I found this rather complex example: https://revitbeyondbim.wordpress.com...tch-your-head/

and had the idea of using the same method of a raybounce, originating at a spot elevation instead, but it isnt working. Any ideas?
