    Point(s) by Coordinates _array_array_array AYE?

Returning to Dynamo after a while, and as ever, I'm stuck - at the simplest things - and most frustrating, I've (apparently) got the answer laid out in front of me HERE, but noooo…

So simple: I want (for now) the X,Y&Z values of the list (and indexes 3,4&5) brought in from an .xls, DATAEXTRACT'd from a .dwg using AutoCAD (attached) but with either the code block "fix" from above, or my own ghetto-cooked variant on the same, (active in the .dyn attached) the "Points By Coordinate" node refuses to accept (my) array (?) inputs.

I experimented with lacing, transposed the list again, tried feeding the values direct to the other "family instance by..." nodes in case the one I was working with was wrong, but nothing.

    What am I doing wrong?

...I know it's all about lists again. I really do struggle with them.

Need to convert your string to a double for the points to work. String.ToNumber will do the trick.

GARGH!!! When I thought that might be it I tried similar, ("NumberFromObject" ?) and it didn't work and I got stuck on the thinking it was all about getting the values "aligned" together to "resolve" the array issue.

    Right, first thing tomorrow!

    Cheers Chad.

If you hover over the input of the node it will usually tell you what type of data is needed, if that doesn't work you can try hovering over the title. Last ditch would be to right-click the node and click the help button, which brings up the handy dialog on the right of the attached image which provides some pretty helpful information, as well as a link to the Dynamo Dictionary. And if you need to see what type of data is coming from a node, you can use Object.Type and it will output the data type.
