    Selection in Revit to Dynamo?

I've been doing some basic scripts to ease my workload and I've often wondered if it possible, to use the selected objects in Revit as if it was selected by the node: "Select Model Element(s)" ?

I would like to be able to just "tab-select" a string of lines and then run a script with those selected lines.

Have a look at John Pierson's custom selection nodes in Rhythm
    1) Isolated Pick Model Elements
    2) Isolated Pick Model Elements (Ordered)

There is also Dimitar Venkov's custom node in the Springs package:

    3) Springs.SelectElements(Ordered)

They could be closer to doing what you desire!

The packages amoursol mentioned are probably what you are looking for.

A work around for the build in node though is to (in Revit) select the elements you wish to select with dynamo and then "Isolate Selected" (HI is the hotkey). This will temporally hide everything not selected allowing you to use a selection box when you do it through dynamo.
