    Exclamation Transfer Legends between projects

I started a new project and noticed that the template file did not have my legends...

How can I transfer the Legends from one project to another?

    Copy/Paste - Did not work
Insert Views from Project - No go
Trasfer Project Standards - No go

I did create a group of the objects in Project A (where the good legend is located) and pasted the Group in Project B

    But it looks like this!

    Transfer Legends between projects-legend.jpg

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In Project B, make sure the scale of the legend view is the same as the scale of the legend view in Project A.

If thats a key schedule... you are out of luck.

I copy and paste the legend into a drafting view then transfer from project to project. This method doesn't work for everything.

Thank you for the reply and help. As it turns out the scale is the same and this time I simply tried to copy and paste objecs from one... Same results...

I can just adjust this and run with it... What is the process of transfering Legends if there is a way to do so?

    Thank you!

Is the text style you're copying in from Project A named the same as a text style in Project B that is a different size? If so, it will use the settings in project B and cause the behavior you've shown.

    Thanks for the reply.

    It is a Legend View.

That was a good idea, but it did now work.
In Project A - I created a new drafting view in order to copy and paste the content from the Legend View. The same problem happens when I paste those objects. All they are is Text and Drafting Lines...
Not sure if you can tell in the image, but what happens is all the objects get piled up on top of each other...

    Thank you for your help

Before the copy of the object into Project B, I did a project transfer of the Text styles first from Project A to B...

    Thanks for the idea...

Looking at the pictures that you posted, the scales are not the same. one is 12" = 1'-0" and the other is 1/2" = 1'-0"
You may have made the pictures before you tried verifying the scale... could you check again? (Just so we can all learn what works and what doesn't.)
