    Notes directly on Sheets

Anyone see any issues with putting a note directly on a sheet? In ACA, I've always had sheets only for plotting, no annotation goes on them.

I need to add a note on my structural details that all elevations are from FF. I figured I'd just type it on the sheet itself. Thoughts?

In the case where I need general notes on a sheet like that I like to either do a legend or at least group the notes. That way if anything is added on one sheet it will be updated on the others as well. Whatever I can do to help eliminate potential inconsistency between drawings...

I have similar notes in my title block family like: "verify all dimensions on field" , "All Elevations are from FF". I have not encountered a problem with this method yet. But I do small residential renovations.

I was thinking legend as well, but it's such a small note. lol

So explain the group to me. If I group the note, do I copy and paste the group to multiple sheets?

Correct. I know it is only one note, but in my experience there are always more notes added to that one which is why like to be able to maintain it automatically across multiple sheets. I like the group personally because it can be inserted on both sheets and inside of views. Not that you need the kind of flexibility all the time, but I like having options...

EDIT: Forget what I said about groups here. Unless you can match the scale closely with the sheet it will come in all garbled. But you can still maintain groups across the sheets but I don't really think there are great advantages between that and a legend.

Got it. I'll just do a legend.
