    BimObject showcase marbodal kitchen set

    Hi all,

I am trying to add this default kitchen family/group into a project file, however every time I try to load family or group it says

"The shared parameter "049391e0-c9b7-4d13-bcfb-84c309686c1f" cannot be added with name "Nominal width" and type "Number" because it conflicts with the existing name "Nominal width" and type "Length"."

It also says that about the height and the width. I have read many forums about deleting parameters but it is not working. I am not sure if i am doing in correctly. I am a novice at revit pls help. Thanks

It looks like there is a parameter Nominal width from the type Number in your family (which in it self is a weird parameter type for a width).
You have to remove that from your family and make a new parameter from the Length type.

You can just select the parameter and delete it in your family.

Oh it looks like that kitchen is a collection of families, and they all have that parameter. That makes it a bit more complicated. To be honest I don;t really know where to begin. You need to find that parameter that is casuing the issue and get rid of it, either in all the families, or in the project.

    Other compatible format

This is kinda a long shot, however is it possible to download a different file type and insert it into my revit project file. My thinking is these parameters will not be there if its not a revit file, or I might be wrong.

    Thanks!

What is wrong with a dwg file. I have exported dwg to get objects in the past?
