    Ok, I get that, but it does seem quite a 'dirty' way of using the software.

    I like the idea of making the 'column' sections GMs and hosting them in with a normal curtain system though

    Yes they are. Interesting bit is that in the entire building there are just 4 different pieces of concrete, including the corners.

    In my screenshot alone I count a minimum of 24 distinct pieces, and that's but one section from a four-order tower, itself one type of four, on a single phase of a project.

    Doesn't that mean you have hundreds of floating generic models that can just be moved freely in any direction?

    This just doesn't seem workable in a standard practice, where you have multiple people of very different skill levels working on a model. One accidental nudge on one of the hundreds of GMs (with no warning messages) and your drawings are screwed...


    We've decided to make the facade 'framing' elements GMs and use curtain walling between this frame. This should allow us to create the required shapes for the frame (joining at corners etc...) and keep the curtain wall elements fairly simple for people to work with.

    Thanks for all the input, it's been interesting to see how you guys work!
