    I'm in agreement with Aaron about mfr content not being 'necessary' --- however, it can sometimes be taxing to constantly monitor those staff users that simply don't care and just go rogue with downloading and loading unapproved content.

    We're starting to look at a 3rd party solution called Guardian that monitors incoming content and can prevent it from ever being loaded into a model without addressing some of the steps outlined in Aaron's white paper. Not sure if i can add a link here.....we found it on Luke's 'What Revit Wants' blog a few weeks ago. It looks promising.

    Haha. Thanks for posting the link Alex .

    Guess i should've clarified that i know how to add a link -- i just didn't think we were supposed to, lest it be considered advertising. But the word on this Guardian solution really should be shared.....if it does what it says, it could be a game changer. The only disappointing thing is that it only resolves new content being introduced into a model. For those projects already polluted with crap, there isn't the same hopeful outcome.
