Anno Label showing only first few letters of type mark?

Hi. I have many different type marks for existing walls in my project, W-EXTG_1, W-EXTG_2 etc, is it possible to have a wall type tag to tag all the existing walls as
W-EXTG only? Coz in my wall schedules, I only want to show them as existing wall, and only new walls will need to show the various types.
But if I change the wall type mark, I will get warning to say elements have duplicate type mark. Is there a way to just tag these extg wall to show only first 6 letters in the type mark?
    Thanks in advance.

Create a wall schedule and create a filter for existing walls (contains EXTG). Set it to not individualise the walls and then change the type mark for all of them.

But that will result in the warning, different walls having duplicate type mark.

You're pretty much going to have to live with the duplicate type mark warnings, unless you use a custom parameter.

It's not a big deal to have duplicate type marks. All our doors are that way because we use type marks, and each door size type will have the same type mark for that particular style of door (flush, half glass etc.).

I would switch to a Shared Parameter instead of Type Mark, regardless. Has lots of benefits. Not in this case (other than the warning going away), but in many others.
