    View Filter Not in Link

Is the only way to get a view filter to not filter linked element to use the workset parameter? I'm thinking of making a project parameter for "in a callout" so people can get empty callout areas. There are some things that are needed from linked files which would be in a callout in that file but not in the local file.

As someone who entertained this idea for a couple of firms previously.... I recommend not doing the "Empty callout" thing. Its going to get really ugly and dirty, and its (in general) pretty pointless.
