Casting Shadows on Topography and the views Level

    Hi all,

    I've got 3 views,

    1. A plan view based on roof lvl of one of the buildings. Shadows are correct

    2. A default 3d view showing shadows which are correct.

    3. A plan view based on a single level at RL00 called Datum (typically the only level in our master models that host the linked buildings)
as you can see the shadows do not cast onto the topography as you would expect. Why is this?

It's the cut plane level in that view that's cutting the buildings off at that height. Raise the cut plane level to above the buildings.

Hi Tim, I wish it was that. I haven't changed any settings apart from a PC restart and it's looking right now so it may have been a graphics card thing.

    cheers

Check shadow settings in that view to ascertain you have shadows not checked on to land on a certain level. At the bottom right hand side of the sun settings window if i remember correctly.

Thanks Biff, checked that too. I mean unchecked it to not cast on any levels.
