Width of Properties and Project Browser keeps changing

I've noticed recently in 2019.2 that the width of my Properties Palette and Project Browser sometimes changes on its own when projects are opened. I usually have them both docked on the left side, with the edge between the PB and drawing window more or less under the Ceiling button on the Architecture tab. If I close the project and then open another project, the sizes of the PB and PP grow a little more, and more and more each time a new project is opened. At one point today I noticed the PB and PP taking up over 1/3 of my screen width!

Is anyone else seeing this behavior?

Screen shots of different files opened 6 consecutive times, showing how the toolbar width steadily increases each time.

The only 3 things I can think of that might change palette sizes are:

    1. Changing display resolution
    2. Remoting-in from a different computer (similar issue to item 1)
    3. Modifying/deleting Windows Registry entries

All it takes is closing a file and then opening another file, while Revit stays open to the Recent Files window. Happens every single time. Happens on every machine with 2019.2 installed in our office. Prior releases (original 2019 release) do not exhibit this behavior.

I have my palettes on my 2nd monitor and haven't noticed this at all, so it seems to be related to having them docked in some way.

I'm on 2019.2 and have the palettes docked and haven't noticed this issue. I do have them docked in a single column, rather than two, so maybe it's certain docking arrangements?

Well like I said, it never happened on any release, ever, before 2019.2 update. I've been using Revit this way ever since the Properties Palette was introduced a decade (?) ago - full height PP and full height PB both docked on the left side. Per Autodesk support I tried updating my GeForce driver, and tried changing various hardware and graphics settings. Nothing changed. Here is a video of what's happening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svyQ4H1zv6g

Notice how the right edge of the tool bar is under the Ceilings button. After closing the file and opening another, the PP briefly displays the full width of the previous PP and PB combination, then gets wider and splits into the 2 tool bars. Closing and then opening another file makes it happen again, getting wider still.

Strangely if I keep the file open and then open a second file, the toolbars stay put, I guess because they're already open as the second file opens. It's only when a file opens with nothing else open that this happens.

Have you tried deleting your UIState.dat file? https://knowledge.autodesk.com/suppo...interface.html
