Just tried it, unfortunately no change. Autodesk Support has marked the issue as a "Change Request" for the developers to hopefully come up with a fix. No timeline has been given on when a fix might be available, however.

I'm glad someone else has found what sounds like maybe the same issue I've seen since 2019 was released.

I split my palettes with the project browser on the right of screen. At seemingly random times - maybe opening another project - the project browser shrinks in width and becomes really narrow and needs dragging wider.

Occasionally I use two screens and I have my scaling set to 150% under Windows 10 so maybe that is something to do with it.

    Seems harmless, but annoying.

We have another user who puts PP on one side and PB on the other side of the same screen, and his PB also shrinks when opening a file in 2019. He's on Win10 and uses Revit on a single monitor, scaling at 100%, with both toolbars on the same monitor and docked inside Revit, so it's definitely not an issue of having them undocked, or a scaling issue.

However in my testing I found that having both bars on one side of the same screen did not display these issues in the initial release of 2019 or 2019.1. It's a bug in 2019.2 apparently.

I am experiencing the same issue on Windows 10.
I was considering resetting the Ribbon, Toolbar and Browser to its default settings as an attempt to fix (link below).
    Has anyone tried this before?

I will do a clean instal of 2019.2.10.7 later on in the week and post if that works.

While I don't have Revit installed on my home machine at the moment....I have noticed that if I turn off my monitor at night or not in use, Windows 10 shrinks my open apps. So sometimes my Chrome or Excel windows are full screen and other times they are like an inch square.

Same thing here. Happening to a couple of folks. Both PP abd PB docked next to each other on left side. Running 2019.2 (19.2.0.65). I ran the Revit UI reset batch file, didn't resolve the issue for me, still was reset to a skinny PB on the left of the screen.

Yeah I get the shrinking docked toolbars if I have one project open, open a second project, and then close out of that second project. If I open one project, then close it, then open another, close it, and open a 3rd, the tool bars all grow in width with each subsequent file opening. Factory is aware of the issue.
